New Construction of Clubhouse at Okemo Valley Golf Club

Classic New England architecture defines the clubhouse at Okemo Valley Golf Club. The clubhouse is connected to a Shaker style barn, which houses the club’s golf academy, pro shop, and cart storage.

The main floor of the clubhouse features a 100 seat restaurant as well as an intimate 30 seat lounge with a fireplace. The second story offers additional dining and lounge space for Okemo’s Gold Club Members. The interior is anointed with wainscoting, custom bars, entertainment center, stone fireplaces, and a balcony offering an overlooking view of the course’s finishing hole. The locker rooms reside in the basement, which feature cherry wood lockers and trim. The kitchen is also located in the basement.

The Golf Academy, inside the Shaker barn, offers an indoor golf range, putting greens, the pro shop, and another second level observation deck. The operations and golf cart storage area are located in the lower levels of the barn.

Whites Pool

Updating of Whites Pool in Rutland, VT

The City of Rutland, Whites Pool project consisted of a brand new competition and family pool with renovated bath and pump house.  The competition pool is approximately 75′ x 40′ with 5 lanes and a deep end diving board.  The family pool is a zero entrance with state of the art spray apparatuses and water slide.  The existing pool was drained and removed completely.  The pool infrastructure, plumbing/mechanical system is completely new including filtration and heater.  The bath house was completely gutted and renovated with new bathrooms and showers.  This project lasted about 11 months and was open in time for the summer season.

Hinesburg Town Garage

The Town of Hinesburg Public Works Facility is a 12,000 sf structural steel building with an attached office and reception area.  The project included insulated metal siding panels, horizontal siding, polished concrete floors, vehicle lift, generator and state of the art mechanical and electrical systems.  The Architect designed Kalwall translucent panels above all overhead doors for added natural light into the work bays.  This project also included a pre-fabricated salt shed for winter storage.

State of Vermont, White River Junction

10 Bay AOT Garage, State of Vermont

Russell Construction completed in the Spring of 2017.

The 15,000 SF 10 bay AOT garage for the State of Vermont in White River Jct., was completed in the Spring of 2017.  The building is a structural steel frame with wood infill framing, wood siding and a flat membrane roof.  It is a 10 bay maintenance garage with an office, break room, storage and mezzanine.  The new building was constructed adjacent to the existing AOT facility.  The construction took place thru the winter while AOT continued their day to day operations.

Bennington College Student Dining Center

The Student Dining Center at Bennington College is a 5,000 SF addition to the existing Campus Student Center.  This was added dining space for the cafeteria and food program.  The building is a pre-engineered metal building including Architectural style 3″ insulated metal wall panels, 6″ thick insulated metal standing seam roof panels, Kalwall windows, extruded aluminum full glass overhead doors, hanging tectum acoustical baffles, elaborate lighting, controls and HVAC air distribution system including duct sox.

The construction took approximately 2 1/2 months to complete, as the College needed the additional dining space before the students arrived.

Bennington College Student Health Center

Complete Renovation Bennington College Student Health Center, Bennington, Vermont

The Student Health Center at Bennington College is a 5,000 SF complete renovation and addition to a historical building on campus.  This building was developed in order to expand the health services department.  The original building was all but torn down.  The floor structure and 2nd story section was all that remained.  The building envelope was designed and built to exceed the Vermont Energy Code requirements.

GMP Brattleboro Operations’ Center

New Operations Center for Green Mountain Power in Brattleboro

We completed the 11,400 sf Brattleboro Operations Center for Green Mountain Power in late 2015. The structural steel frame building with insulated metal panels houses an 8 bay maintenance garage for GMP’s equipment and storage of materials. The attached office space also includes a kitchen, conference rooms, locker rooms and an open work area.
A 40,000 gallon tank was set in place underneath the slab in the garage bay prior to starting the foundation work.

This $2.1 Million project was completed in 6 months.

Town Fair Tire

New Town Fair Tire Retail Store in Rutland, Vermont

Town Fair Tire is a Tire Retail and Service Chain with over 90 locations throughout New England.  The owners typically manage their own construction in-house, but decided to negotiate with Russell Construction Services to build their first store in Vermont.

The building is a 8800 sf block structure with a showroom and a 7 bay service area.

VSECU is a 4,300 square foot wood framed bank branch, office and
conference space, located in Rutland, VT. The project was certified as
LEED Gold. The building was designed for efficiency.

It has a high end mechanical, controls, electrical system, and was designed with triple-pane windows for plenty of natural light. Russell contracted with VSECU
after successfully competing in the hard bid process. The project was
substantially over budget, which required a great deal of Value Engineering (VE).

We worked very closely with the architect and other consultants to provide
over 30% of the contract cost in VE items to the Owner without sacrificing
quality, nor LEED points to the project.

Equinox Village

Equinox Village is a 56-unit independent living community located in Manchester, Vermont. Russell Construction lead a team of caring professionals to offer the premier independent living experience. All apartments feature full size kitchens, multiple bathrooms, individualized climate control, walk-in closets, and a heated four-season sun porch.  The building also boasts an underground parking garage, and elevators that service every floor.

Amenities include a fitness center with swim spa, on site beauty salon, several dining rooms, library, cocktail lounge and elegant common areas, as well as a commercial kitchen.

Phase I was completed in the summer of 2006.  Phase II was completed in 2007 while the facility was occupied and fully operational.
