Project Overview
Russell was awarded the Vergennes High School Project through a competitive lump-sum bid. The bid, although the lowest, was significantly over the budget and in a construction management spirit we were able to work with Banwell Architects and the owner to cut nearly a million dollars from the project.
Appropriately scheduling this project was critical to saving money. We delayed the start of the project that had been scheduled for a November start. Instead we used the winter to effectively buy-out the trades, complete the submittal and shop drawing process, and prepare for a compressed schedule. We began the project in March and met the original September opening date.
